We are looking for opportunities to work with and support members of the community who would like to improve the health of land they manage, while contributing to the wisdom and resilience of the community as a whole.
Here are some examples of activities we will help organize and sponsor:
Workshop-Webinar Hybrid: Improving Soil Health – topics discussed include using high animal or human impact followed by a period of rest and recovery to build soil, increase healthy soil structure for rainwater infiltration, groundwater recharge and carbon sequestration, as well as increasing high-quality forage.
Workshop and/or Webinar: Planting Native Hedgerows for Healthy Livestock, Wildlife, Erosion Control and Pollinator Habitat Restoration – topics discussed include accelerating improvements in native habitat restoration for grasslands, oak woodlands, riparian corridors, and wetlands while benefiting wildlife and livestock alike.
Workshop and/or Webinar: Designing Bio-swales for Rainwater Catchment, Infiltration, and Groundwater Recharge – this is a hands-on workshop to teach participants how, where and why to dig bio-swales and rain gardens to prevent flooding, erosion, and replenish local groundwater tables.
Workshop-Webinar Hybrid: Cultivating, Processing Utilizing, and Marketing Regeneratively Grown Products – a series of workshops that cover the processing of agricultural commodities such as vegetables, fruit, medicinal and culinary herbs, eggs, wool, equine and other fibers, dye plants, etc. into high value retail-ready goods such as jams, honey, baked goods, soaps, lotions, etc.
Consultation – we offer individual land owners and land managers assistance with holistic land management planning, including grazing management, livestock integration into cropland, infrastructure improvements such as fencing, access to water for livestock, protection of sensitive habit, and designing swales and hedgerows, etc.
A seasonal Community Marketplace – an event created for local producers to sell regeneratively grown agricultural commodities and value-added goods to members of the community.
